What we did

We went to the Swiss School to tell stories about the corals. The aim of this was to build awareness in young children about the dangers that come to the coral reefs from things like global warming and pollution. It is much easier to teach a child than to convince an old man to change his ways. 

The activity was done to show the children how the balance in the ecosystem and the dependencies of marine organisms work. Using labels like "coral" "algea" "fish" and "human," we let them go around with yarn to see what depended on what, and what would happen if one of them was to disappear.
